Chemonics International Inc., seeks a high-level specialist to lead the community development and behavioral change component of an anticipated USAID-funded
project
The project focused on strengthening the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) by leading a team of capacity building specialists. This four-year project will strengthen the MMAF through policy development, human resources, and PR and communications capacity building.
Qualifications:
At least ten years of local community development and behavior change communication experience, especially related to current Indonesian context.
Proven experience in undertaking activities aimed at empowering poor rural communities and individuals including organizing civil society groups or community based organizations for improved livelihoods and adapting to climate change.
At least a Masters Degree in environmental studies, public policy/administration, sustainable development, or behavioral research.
Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
Working experience in developing countries; experience in Indonesia preferred.Strong English writing and speaking skills.
Some proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and knowledge of Indonesian culture preferred.
